Borussia Dortmund still comfortably holding down their runners up spot in German Bundesliga standings despite only grabbing a point from their latest fixture against Bayer leverkusen.
The home side made a positive start on that big match as they got themselves ahead after only seven minutes through Lars Bender.
Dortmund reacted well after going behind as Jurgen Klopp's men kept on pushing forward and eventually getting that equalizing goal on 29 minutes from Oliver Kirch.
Leverkusen regained their lead soon afterwards as Gonzalo Castro scored on 35 minutes, finishing an assist from Julian Brandt.
However, Dortmund refused to give up as they kept on plugging in and got back on level terms once again, this time through Marco Reus' spot kick on 39 minutes.
Unfortunately, that excitement didn't continue after the break as neither sides managed to score more goals forcing them to settle for a 2-2 draw.
