Paris Saint-Germain are looking set to get themselves into the next stage of UEFA Champions League campaign after successfully overcoming Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their knock out stage battle this past midweek. Playing away from home didn't stop PSG in dominating proceeding as they immediately put on an attacking approach which was rewarded with a quick goal scored by Blaise Matuidi after only three minutes of the game. Things got even more comfortable for the French side when Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubling their lead on 39 minutes from the spot kick and three minutes before half time break, he competed his double with a wonderful long range strike.
Bayer tried their best in reducing the damage in the second period, but finding things way too difficult already as PSG looking confident and comfortable in playing their own pace. The away side finally sealed off their win with a fourth goal, which was scored by their recent January signing, Yohan Cabaye two minutes before time. This massive win give Paris a comfortable situation before the second leg battle which will be held at Parc des Prices.
