Barnsley still can't seem to get themselves away from that bottom two seat in England Championship table as this midweek they were held into a draw by mid-table Blackburn Rovers side. The home side actually got off to a positive start as they take a one goal lead through Nick Proschwitz on 29 minutes, but that lead was canceled out by Tom Cairney who leveled the score on 36 minutes. Within just a minute before half time break, Blackburn managed to turn things around as Rudy Gestede gave them that slender lead going into half time break.
The home side were not keen on giving up though as they continue to push forward vigorously in search for a way back into that tie. Their relentless efforts were not fruitless though as on 69 minutes, they got an equalizing goal from Chris O'Grady's spot kick. Despite both teams strong attempts in getting that winning strike, none of them were able to grab it as that match ended in a 2-2 draw.
