Barnsley keeping their survival hope alive and well as they grabbed an important home victory over Nottingham Forest this past weekend at the Oakwel Stadium. Both sides were looking really eager in picking up maximum points for different reason as the host are keen on moving away from that bottom three seat, while Forest are determined to maintain their current play offs spot. Those two sides failed to convert any of their chances though during the first 45 minutes as that half ended in goalless draw.
Things continue to look tight after the break, but it was Barnsley that got things going as they broke the dead lock with an effort from Dale Jennings on 51 minutes. Despite Forests' strong efforts to get back on level terms, none of their opportunities were converted on that match as the host holding on to that slender lead until the final whistle was blown.
