Barcelona can't seem to stop their winning run as current La Liga leader bagged another victory on their latest league fixture by defeating city rival, Espanyol this past Friday. That win maintained El Barca's reign at the top of La Liga standings as they already collected 34 points from 12 games.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Barcelona put on their usual dominating play, but it was not easy to break down Espanyo's defense as the away side play some solid football on that encounter. Despite their vigorous attack, Gerardo Martino's men can't convert any of their goal scoring chances, neither did the visitor, triggering a disappointing goalless draw in that first 45 minutes.
After the break, both sides kept on pushing hard for all three points, but it was El Barca that eventually grabbed that winning goal through their Chilean star, Alexis Sanchez on 68 minutes. The former Udinese's men finishing an assist from Neymar to give his team an important result which hold down their dominance at the top of La Liga, putting more pressure on their rivals, Atletico Madrid and also Real Madrid.a
