Athletic Bilbao still holding on their top four seat in Spanish La Liga standings as they grabbed a convincing home win over Real Valladolid on Monday at San Mames stadium. The home team didn't have a bright start on that encounter though as they found themselves trailing after 15 minutes of play through Oscar's effort.
Bilbao refused to back down though as they pushed hard in getting back into level terms and did manage it with Ibai netting home an equalizer on 65 minutes. That goal revived the host's confidence as they took control of things and turned things around with an effort from De Marcos on 75 minutes, which was soon followed with Ibai's second on 82 minutes. Ander Herrera sealed things off for the away side as he scored on 86 minutes, while Valladolid only managed to reduce the damage with Valdes Rama's goal in stoppage time.
