Inter Milan's ambition in pushing for top three spot in Italian Serie A standings suffered a slight disappointment as they were held into a draw by Atalanta this Tuesday.
Eager to continue their weekend victory, Inter put on an aggressive display since kick off and it looked like things are going in favor of Nerazzurri again this midweek when they got themselves in front through Ricky Alvarez's effort on 16 minutes. However, Atalanta reacted positively after conceding as they pushed forward in an organized manner and got back on level terms on 25 minutes with a goal from German Denis.
Drawing 1-1 in the first 45 minutes, both sides continue to push forward in the second half, but despite their relentless efforts, none of them managed to convert their chances. Those two sides eventually were forced to settle for a draw as Inter still sitting in top four seat with 19 points, while Atalanta grabbed eight place on 13 points.
