Atalanta Vs Genoa Highlights:Andrea Bertolacci and his lone goal was enough for Genoa to overcome Atalanta in their most recent Serie A fixture which puts them just above the relegation zone of the Italian League.
The opening stages of the match and both sides battled with each one of them finding some moments to launch shots that were dealt away by both goalkeepers. Maxi Moralez found the net at the 26th minute but was called offside.
Bertolacci’s lonely goal arrived moments later when a ball was crossed into the box and the defenders failed to cope with it as they just gave away a loose ball which was picked up by Bertolacci who slammed it home.
Sebastien Frey made a number of important saves at the later stages of the match. He was one of the reasons that Genoa was in the lead. Atalanta was firing with everything in their disposal but Frey was there to deny them from equalizing.
Emiliano Moretti would be sent off the pitch after he used his elbow on Moralez and the referee did not hesitate in giving him a 2nd yellow card which left Genoa with 10 players. Even with the numerical advantage for Atalanta they couldn’t find their long searched goal.
