Aston Villa managed to entertain their devotees as they grabbed all important three points after defeating Hull City at Villa Park.
Playing in front of their home crowd, Villa immediately got themselves in front when Ashley Westwood opened the scoring after only a minute of play.
Going down that early didn't slow down Hull's attacking spirit as they kept on battling hard and were able to draw level with an own goal from Jordan Bowery on 28 minutes
However, Villa regained their composure just before half time break and turned things around once again through Andreas Weimann on 41 minutes.
The home side continue to push forward and eventually snatched all three points from that tie when Weimann scored his second in the first half stoppage time.
No more goals were scored though after the break as Villa comfortably holding out their win until the final whistle was blown.
