Crystal Palace's mission in getting themselves away from relegation trouble seems to be heading into the right direction as they successfully snatched a dramatic boxing day victory over Aston Villa this midweek. Both teams were eager to pick up special present for Christmas celebration, as they push forward vigorously in search for goals since the first 45 minutes. Unfortunately, neither sides managed to make good use of their goal scoring opportunities as that first period ended in goalless draw.
The game continue to look tight in the second half, with both teams seemed to be much more keen on canceling each others out instead of scoring goals. However, just when it seems that a 0-0 draw will emerge from that midweek battle, Palace dramatically snatched all three points with a late goal from Dwight Gale in stoppage time. That victory took the visitor out of the bottom three seat in current English Premier League standings as for the moment they are sitting at 17th spot with 16 points.
