AS Roma's ambition to cut down their gap with Juventus at the top of Italian Serie A standings got tougher as this weekend they only grabbed a point from their home fixture against Inter Milan. Knowing that their rival could be facing potential troubling task this week, Roma were eager to grab maximum points on their home tie against Nerazzurri, but it was far from an easy task as Walter Mazzarri's men looking comfortable just by snatching a point, allowing them to play comfortably on the counter.
Facing a much defensive Inter side, Roma players looked troubled especially in the first 45 minutes, with the absence of Francesco Totti and also Rudi Garcia's decision in benching Miralem Pjanic. The Bosnian playmaker finally got his into the pitch midway into the second period and immediately sparked his teammates in creating several dangerous moves. However, Inter's defense looking really confident on that tie as they stood still and even created problems on the counter. No goals were scored in that tie as both sides were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw.
