AS Roma grabbed an important result on the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi finals battle against Napoli at Olimpico stadium this past midweek. Playing in front of their home crowd, Giallorossi put on an aggressive display and got themselves in front through Gervinho after just 13 minutes of play. Things looking really bright for Roma as on 32 minutes they double their lead with an effort from Kevin Strootman, giving his side a comfortable two goals lead as they go into half time break.
The visitor were not keen on giving things up easily though as they pushed back and snatched one goal through an own goal from Morgan De Sanctis on 47 minutes. Partenopei managed to get back on level terms 15 minutes from time with an effort from Dries Mertens, but Roma regained their composure and got in front again two minutes from time from another Gervinho's effort.
