Arsenal got themselves back on winning ways and also securing a spot in the next stage of FA Cup after picking up a convincing victory over fellow Premier League side Everton this weekend. Playing in the 6th round of that competition, both sides were really eager in advancing into the next round as they put on an attacking display straight from kick off. Playing in front of their home crowd, Gunners got themselves ahead through Mesut Ozil's effort after only seven minutes of play. Unfortunately, that early strike didn't last until half time break as Everton leveled the score on 32 minutes from Romelu Lukakau's goal.
After the break, Arsenal eventually regained their lead thanks to Mikel Arteta's spot kick on 68 minutes. That goal also brought back the home side's confidence as they eventually adding two more goals on that half through their leading striker, Olivier Giroud, who bagged his brace on 83 and 85 minutes. No more goals were scored afterwards, but it was more than enough to see Arsene Wenger's men cruising into the final stages of that competition.
