Arsenal's ambition in extending their lead at the top of English Premier League standings was halted when they only grabbed a point from their latest home fixture against Everton on Sunday. The Gunners looked keen on taking advantage over their rivals' dropped points as they put on an attacking display since kick off, but it was not an easy task as the Toffees also played a solid game that day.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, Arsenal finally got themselves in front as Mesut Oezil puts them in front with his effort 10 minutes from time. However, that lead only lasted for four minutes as Everton drew level thanks to the goal from Gerard Deulofeu. No more goals were scored after that as both teams were forced to settle for a point in that weekend encounter.
