A surprise result occurred on the Quarter finals stage of Germany DFB Pokal when third division side, Arminia Bielefeld successfully eliminating Bundesliga outfit, Borussia Monchengladbach.
Both teams were determined in making into the last four of that tournament as they put on an aggressive approach since kick off.
It was the home side that got themselves in front after 26 minutes when Manuel Junglas finished off an assist by Dennis Mast to make it 1-0.
Monchengladbach refused to give up easily as they pounced back in search for an equalizing goal.
It didn't take long before the visitor drew level as Max Kruse made it 1-1 with his spot kick on 32 minutes.
Both teams kept on battling hard for more goals, but until the final 90 minutes was up, none of them were able to grab that winning strike.
Those two teams remained stuck at 1-1 even after the 2x15 additional minutes forcing that tie to go into penalty shoot out.
Bielefeld eventually came away as winner after missing only one shot, while their opponent failed to convert two penalties.
