French side, Bordeaux continue to struggle on their Europa League group stage campaign as they sit at the bottom of table after picking up an away defeat over APOEL this midweek. Both teams are occupying the last two spots in group F, that's why they were keen on grabbing all three points to revive any shot in qualifying into the knock out stage.
The home side made a brighter start on that encounter as their early pressure was rewarded with a goal from Nektarios Alexandrou on 14 minutes. However, that lead was canceled out in the stroke of half time with Ludovic Sane netting home the equalizer for Bordeaux. In the second period, APOEL managed to regain their lead thanks to Nuno Morais' strike on 55 minutes, which turned out to be the winning goal in that midweek battle.
