Bournemouth regained their top spot in English Championship standing as earlier this week they picked up an impressive home win over Birmingham City.
The home side didn't make a bright start though on that tie as they found themselves trailing after 18 minutes through Clayton Donaldsons effort.
Three minutes later, things got worse for Bournemouth when David Cotterill doubling the score for Birmingham.
The host were able to pull one back though on 39 minutes, thanks to an effort from Steve Cook.
Just before half time break, it was back on level terms when Callum Wilson snatched an equalizer for Bournemouth.
After the break, it was all Eddie Howe's men as they added two more goals through Yann Kermorgant's spot kick and Charlie Daniels' effort.
That 4-2 score line lasted until the final whistle was blown as Birmingham failed to react after going two goals down on that period.
