AC Milan's ambition to lift themselves up into the third place seat of Italian Serie A was halted this weekend as Rossoneri were held into a draw by Fiorentina.
Having a positive mentality after grabbing two straight victories, Milan looked confident early on as they took control of proceedings.
Milan finally took the lead on 25 minutes from Nige De Jong's header, finishing off a headed assist from Cristian Zapata.
Fiorentina tried to get back into that tie, but Rossoneri were pretty much in control of situation as their opponent hardly created any danger.
After the break, both sides continue to play an attacking display, making things much more interesting.
Rossoneri were rather unlucky as after missing out on some opportunities, they found themselves conceding the equalizing goal with Josip Ilicic making it 1-1 for La Viola.
No more goals were scored afterwards, despite both teams trying hard to get that winning strike as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw.
