England manager Fabio Capello says leading the nation to this year’s World Cup will be the biggest moment of his career.
The man, who has won league titles with AC Milan, Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid and guided AC Milan to their 1994 Champions League triumph, insists leading the Three Lions to South Africa represents the pinnacle of his career.
Capello, who will celebrate his 64th birthday during the tournament, said: “For as long as I can remember it has been my dream to manage the England team. It came true for me more than two years ago and right from that moment all my focus has been on the World Cup. As a club manager I took my teams into important finals, important tournaments, but even with the likes of AC Milan and Real Madrid we were representing one city. With a country it is different; you carry the expectation of an entire nation with you. It is a big responsibility, but it is an even bigger honour and something to make you very proud.”
