Germany and Denmark meet on Sunday evening in the final round of fixtures in Group B, with the Germans only needing a draw and the Danes having to win to stand a chance of making the last eight.
Denmark have competed well in Group B despite being underdogs in a competitive pool. Morten Olsen’s men surprisingly won their opener 1-0 against Netherlands, with Michael Krohn-Delhi getting the winner, however they were beaten 3-2 by Portugal in the last game. Nicklas Bendtner scored both goals for the Scandinavians in that game, and will look to continue his good form to help Denmark to qualification and aid himself in finding a new club. Bwin have the Danes as outsiders at odds of 6.00 to get a win.
Germany are all-but through to the next stage, but will hope to top the group with at least a draw in this fixture. Mario Gomez has been the side’s marksman, getting all the goals thus-far in a 1-0 win over Portugal and 2-1 victory over Netherlands. Joachim Low’s men are one of the favourites for the tournament and seem to be clicking into form at the right time. They will look to top the pool to avoid in-form Russia in the next stage. Bwin have Germany as favourites at odds of 1.65 to get three points.
Germany should win this but Denmark have been good so far and will want to test their opponents. My Euro 2012 football betting tip is a 3-2 win to Germany, which Bwin have at 23.00.
