Drogba Ready For A New Deal
Chelsea hitman Didier Drogba has finally revealed he is ready to begin fresh contract talks with Chelsea to end all transfer rumours.
The Ivorian Coast striker has been linked with clubs such as Marseille and even arch rivals Tottenham, but in his mind Chelsea is the only club for him.
He has one year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge but the 33 year old is seeking another two year extension at the club in order practically finish his career at the club!
Drogba netted for the Blues against the Malaysian XI the other day as they continue their tour of Asia.
While on tour Drogba told Asian media : “We’ve started talking and it’s very interesting. Everybody knows what I feel about Chelsea and what I want,” he said.
“I will definitely be here next season. I said a few years ago that I will be here until the end of my contract, and I am here.
“Now I need to keep playing well here and giving my best, like I always try to do.
“This will be my eighth season at this club and it means a lot for any striker to stay that long at Chelsea.”
Now Chelsea fans must wait in expectation to see if these remarks have any meaning and if a deal will be tied up soon.
