Reading manager Brian McDermott was pleased with the 2-2 draw his side picked up during their away trip to Swansea City on Saturday. McDermott said that  despite the fact that his side were two goals up before the break, getting a point against Swansea is a very positive result, especially since the home team did put on an excellent performance in the second half.

After having such a fine start in the league, Swansea City suddenly suffered of form in recent matches, losing three consecutive Premier League matches. Michael Laudrup's men latest defeat was against Stoke City and the manager was simply frustrated by his players' inability to avoid goals from set pieces.

The fourth round of the League Cup will be filled with much more interesting battles compared to its previous round, one of the potentially stand out match is Chelsea's meeting with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Cardiff  City boss Malky Mackay is eager to follow the successful footsteps of Brendan Rodgers, who carried Cardiff's rival, Swansea City into Premier League in 2011. Similar to Rodgers, Mackay also started out his managerial spell at Watford, although the latter took a different path and landed at Cardiff instead of Swansea.
