Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers has labelled himself "a nutcase" if he was to let Andy Carroll go out on loan this season. The striker has attracted interest from several Premier League outlets, including West Ham but the Liverpool gaffer has dismissed talk of the player leaving the club, whether it's on loan or permanently.

Newcastle United have stood firm and refused to meet Liverpool's £20m price tag, for former striker Andy Carroll. The English giant has seemed keen on a return to the Direct Arena but Newcastle have told Brendan Rogers, they will not bid £20m for the striker.

The Wigan boss was heavily linked with a move to Anfield at the end of last season, following Kenny Daglish's departure, but negotiations 'broke down' and terms couldn't be agreed between the two parties.
