Chelsea are set to step up their interest in Marseille forward Andre Ayew – and also hope to shrug off interest from Bayern Munich.
The 21-year-old Ghanian international has been a huge hit in the French League since his move from Ghana and has attracted interest from a whole host of Premier League clubs. Ayew, predominantly a winger, can also play as a striker and it is thought his versatility is interesting Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas.
A bid of around £15 million could be enough to persuade Marseille to sell but the club face competition from Arsenal, amongst others.
