Cesc Fabregas was born in Barcelona in 1987. The Spaniard was a life long Barcelona fan and always dreamed of playing for them! His dream turned to reality when the Barcelona Youth Academy signed him up on a 3 year deal at the age of 10 in 1997.

Things weren’t going as smoothly as Cesc planned and had hoped to play more football then he had been playing for the Catalans.

Things suddenly changed when his life was turned around, as Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger spotted serious potential in the player as he just turned 16 and wanted him to become a Gunner!

He joined Arsenal on a five year deal in 2003 for an amazing fee of only £5 million! What A Bargain !

It took Cesc a while to adapt to life in London and he wasn’t slotted straight into the first XI at the time so he needed to be paitent !
His time came eventually at the age of 16 years old, when he made his debut against Rotheram in the League Cup, becoming Arsenal’s youngest first team player!

Fabregas bagged his first goal at the age of 16 years old in a 5-1 thumping against rivals Wolves in the league cup!

Fabregas began to make more and more appearances for the Gunners and eventually became a first team starter.

Through the years Fabregas became a massively important player for Arsenal helping them to progress in all the competitions despite not winning any!

Fabregas was awarded with the Arsenal captaincy in 2008 when off the rails ex-captain William Gallas armband was removed from him after his antics!

Early on this season Fabregas has dismissed many reports that he has moved to ex club Barcelona although a move may be possible this Summer. Until Fabregas will always be a legend in Arsenal’s memory book and always will be cherished!
