From yesterday morning, England star David Beckham is trining with the Spurs, nonetheless he’ll still be just there, on the training ground, and will not face the Red Devils on Sunday. Maybe it would be a  clever choice to let him play, especially now that they are facing with the injury of Ledley King, who, most probably, will have to make a decision on an operation. It just seems that they need something to cheer them up, after a news like that, the club and the fans. And David Beckham could certainly be the necessary cure.

Harry Redknapp stated: “Manchester United this Sunday would be a non-starter even if he does sign. He is not fit to play yet and he knows that. It’s going to take him a few weeks to get back to anywhere near the fitness levels he’s used to.”

He also added: “Up until Ledley got injured, it was good craic with David training as if he was just one of the boys and Jonathan Woodgate out there too after his long lay-off.

“You cannot beat experience and David has it in bucket loads. No matter how well you are playing, when you are going into the second half of the season and have Champions League football as well as the Premier League, it’s what you need.”

Beckham and Harry Redknapp are still waiting the responce from LA Galaxy in connection to his loan. Tottenham want him to stay until mid-March, yet he needs to return due February ten. The thing Redknapp fears the most – change his squad for Becks, who is certainly worth it, and then have to let him go. Maybe that is the real reason for his decision. He is waiting to see how will things go from here, just like we’ll have to.
