Arsenal’s goals were scored by Benayoun (2′) and Van Persie (72′, 80′) and Norwich City’s goalscorers were Hoolahan (12′), Holt (27′) and Morison (85′).
Arsenal’s starting line-up was Szczęsny, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Sagna, Ramsey, Song, Benayoun, Gervinho, Van Persie and Rosicky while Norwich City lined up with Ruddy, Martin, Bennett, Lappin, Naughton, Howson, Hoolahan, Johnson, Bennett, Holt and Jackson.

GOAL Arsenal 1-0 Norwich – Yossi Benayoun (2 min)

Arsenal give themselves the perfect start, just over a minute after the start. Yossi Benayoun collects possession from Tomas Rosicky on the left-hand corner of the box and uses Kieran Gibbs’ overlapping run to cut inside a Norwich defender and curl a superb finish past John Ruddy. Just the early blow the Gunners were looking for.

It is Yossi Benayoun’s birthday today. He is the second player to score on his birthday this season, after Emmanuel Adebayor (for Tottenham against Arsenal) on 26 February. :)

GOAL Arsenal 1-1 Norwich – Wes Hoolahan (12 mins)

Behind after two minutes, but level after 12 and you can’t say Norwich don’t deserve it. Wojciech Szczsney won’t want to see it again, though. A minute after he had left his goalmouth to punch unconvincingly with Grant Holt lurking, the keeper makes a major howler, allowing Wes Hoolahan’s shot, following a Kyle Naughton cross, to dribble from his grasp and in. It’s a shocker from the Gunners stopper and we’re back all-square.
