Done deals – Gervinho (Lille) and Carl Jenkinson (Charlton Athletic).
Departures – Kyle Bartley (Rangers) – Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (Ipswich) – James Shea (Dagenham) – Denilson (Sao Paulo) – Gael Clichy (ManchesterCity) – Mark Randall (Chesterfield) – Thomas Cruise (Released) – Jens Lehmann (Retired).
Possible additions – Arsene Wenger is still very much in the market for a central defender. Blackburn defender Chris Samba, Bolton’s Gary Cahill and Everton’s Phil Jagielka have all been linked with moves in recent weeks. Juan Mata of Valencia is also a target but not at the £30 million currently being quoted by the Spanish club.
Possible departures – Arsenal’s stand-off with Barcelona over Cesc Fabregas continues to remain, with neither club budging on their valuation of the player. Samir Nasri could also leave the club to join Manchester City whilst Emmanuel Eboue and Nicklas Bendtner also look likely to depart.
