Arsenal are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Chilean winger Eduardo Vargas.

The talented 22-year-old currently plays for Universidad de Chile but is expected to leave the club in the New Year with a number of European clubs circling. The Chile international’s representative has admitted that discussions with potential suitors are ongoing, but insists no agreement has been reached as of yet.

Diego Cativa stated: “The clubs are speaking a lot but little progress has been made. We are talking with AC Milan and Inter Milan, who have made proposals, as well as with Liverpool, Arsenal and a number of other clubs.”
