Liverpool striker Fernando Torres wants David Villa or David Silva to partner him in attack at Anfield.
” If I could, I would take David Villa or David Silva to Liverpool as a partner in attack. It would be a great asset for our team. We need match-winners, we need players who break the deadlock in matches’ he said. David Villa was top scorer at Euro 2008 and would cost around at £40million while Valencia team-mate David Silva is valued around £15m.
With Torres out for six weeks following knee surgery, Benitez is hoping to sign Trinidad and Tobago striker Jones on board in time for Wednesday’s clash with Tottenham. Benitez said: ” We will see if we can do something more in the transfer window. If we cannot we will stick together for the next challenge. We have a good team, a good squad and not as bad as people think.”
