AS Roma obtain a draw against Sampdoria in their away game of the first leg of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. It’s a positive result especially after playing nearly the whole game with one player less as Mexes was sent off in the 18 minute.
Sampdoria was the better side in the first half with more scoring chances as their opponents. The home team also managed to but the ball into the net but the goal was canceled because of a hand-ball made by Antonio Cassano.
Reto Ziegler opened the score for Sampdoria in the 62nd minute with a great placed long distance shot. Their lead didn’t last for long, as Mirko Vucinic equalized with a nice shot that passed the keeper, after a great deep pass.
