Captain Robert Koren says his team-mates are full of confidence ahead of their Group C decider on Wednesday.
The Three Lions were the pre-tournament group favourites but whilst they have struggled in their campaign so far, Slovenia are looking comfortable.
England were held in both their opening group matches and need a victory at Nelson Mandela Bay to guarantee progression whereas Matjaz Kek’s men currently top the group following their 1-0 win over Algeria and their 2-2 draw against the United States in their last outing.
And Slovenia’s skipper Koren has fired a warning to Fabio Capello’s men by stating that they are confident and ready for whatever England have to throw at them.
“It was a big achievement for the country to come to the World Cup but now everybody wants to improve,” said Koren. “When we arrived in South Africa we said we wanted to go through the group stage and we are full of confidence that we can. We already expected before the tournament to go through the group stage, and this is still the same. We all know that England is a really good team with big players in their squad, but we are not thinking too much about England – we will concentrate on ourselves and the way we want to play.
The first game, England versus the USA, England played okay, we saw some good things and bad things, and it was the same in the second game against Algeria. England didn’t show the football we expected, but we all need to know that England will be ready.”
