Robberto Rosseti, the referee who denied Scotland captain Darren Fletcher a place in last year’s Champions League Final, will take charge of Rangers’ crucial clash with Stuttgart.Rossetti came under fire when he issued a straight red card to Fletcher for a challenge oin Cesc Fabregas in the second leg of Manchester United’s semi-final with Arsenal.
TV pictures showed that he had won the ball first and the decision seemed very harsh but there was no right of appeal and Fletcher missed out io the Final which Man Utd lost to Barcelona.
Rossetti, is one of the highest-ranked officials in the game. Indeed he was voted the best referee in the world in 2008 by one body. more fromrangers.premiumtv.co.uk

“Let Boydy At ‘Em” -Kenny Miller would love to see his friend and strike partner Kris Boyd in the team to face Stuttgart- “As long as I am up front with him then yes I would like to see him play,” Kenny joked.”But the manager picks the team for each game and he selects the players he feels can win. Personally I would never argue with the manager or second guess him because he gets it right more often than not. So if Boydy is up there against Stuttgart then great. We know what he brings and we have seen it on countless occasions already this season. He brings goals and a goal threat and that’s something we will need tomorrow night.”

After booking their place in the knockout phase on Matchday 4, Sevilla FC need a point from their meeting with FC Unirea Urziceni in Bucharest to be confirmed as group winners. For their part, second-placed Unirea could qualify themselves if they defeat the Spanish outfit and either Rangers FC draw at home with VfB Stuttgart or the Scottish side win. Three points for third-placed Stuttgart or anything other than a Unirea win would mean the second qualification place would not be settled until Matchday 6.
