Sunday 11 September 1.30 pm KO – Barclays Premier League
Norwich Pre-Match Report
Paul Lambert’s side took a point each from their opening two encounters before suffering a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea last time out. The last time Norwich hosted West Brom was back in the Championship in 2008 when the Baggies came away with a 2-1 victory.
Norwich will be without first-choice keeper John Ruddy after his sending off against Chelsea last time out. Boss Lambert will also be without defenders Daniel Ayala and Elliot Ward whilst Zak Whitbread sits the game out with a hamstring problem. Striker James Vaughan is continuing his recovery from a knee injury after a long lay-off but he may be available.
Predicted Team: Rudd, Naughton, Barnett, De Laet, Tierney, Bennett, Crofts, Johnson, Pilkington, Holt, Martin.
West Brom Pre-Match Report
Roy Hodgson’s side have lost all three of their Premier League games so far this season but have been extremely unlucky to not gain points from their games against Chelsea, Manchester United and Stoke. Whilst they have won their last three matches against Norwich in the Championship – Norwich are unbeaten in their last six meetings with the Midlanders in the top flight.
Midfielder Zoltan Gera is in contention to make his first appearance since rejoining the club but Shane Long is rated at 50-50 after suffering a calf injury mid-week. The club are hopeful that Peter Odemwingie will return however after an ankle setback.
Predicted Team: Foster, Reid, Olsson, Tamas, Shorey, Mulumbu, Scharner, Tchoyi, Morrison, Brunt, Odemwingie.
