Shocking news arrived from Real Madrid camp as earlier today, Zinedine Zidane suddenly announced his decision to leave Los Blancos this summer, withing just few days after leading his side winning their third Champions League in a row.
The confirmation came from Zidane himself who held an official press conference accompanied by Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, who didn’t look too happy with that announcement.
Speaking to the media, Zizou claimed that he is simply doing what he believes best for Los Blancos, explaining it will be very difficult for him to continue winning with the 13 times Champions League winner next season.
Furthermore, the legendary midfielder also stated that his decision was not influenced by any of his players, as it was purely something he thought himself after experiencing three successful years at Santiago Bernebau.
Zidane simply said that he don’t really know any other ways to improve what he has already achieved with Madrid up til now, that’s why some changes might be needed for the club if they are keen on maintaining their pedigree.
It’s certainly a very intriguing decision made by the former France international skipper, especially since his reasoning is that he believes winning will be hard to achieve after his three years tenure.
During his three years at the club, Zizou hasn’t only won the Champions League three times but also countless other titles such as one Spanish La Liga, Two UEFA Super Cups, Two Club World Cups, One Spanish Super Cup.
It seems that Zizou is content in departing from Madrid on a high as it certainly something positive to be remembered by Los Blancos fans and all football enthusiasts.
