Zhirkov and Kerzhakov Left Out of Russia’s Final Euro 2016 Squad

Russia national team head coach, Leonid Slutski has already picked his final 23 man squad for upcoming Euro 2016 and there were some famous names that didn’t make the cut.

Among several absentees, the names who might surprised many football enthusiasts are Yuri Zhirkov along with Aleksandr Kerzhakov.

Zhirkov’s absence was mostly down to his fitness condition as the former Chelsea man is suffering from an achilles injury.

Meanwhile, Kerzhakov’s omission might be related more with his current poor goal scoring form as the striker hasn’t score since April 10.
