Uruguay Star Suarez Facing FIFA Investigation for Biting

Uruguay’s 1-0 win over Italy could prove to be costly for the South American side as their star striker, Luis Suarez could face lengthy suspension because of his alleged biting incident on Azzurri’s defender Giorgio Chiellini.

FIFA have just confirmed that they will start investigation on this case, urging all parties to cooperate in providing evidence so a decision can be made as soon as possible.

Should Suarez is found guilty for his action, there’s a potential ban up to two years since it’s not the Liverpool’s first time in getting involved with that incident as there’s already two similar cases which both saw him punished for it.

The referee apparently didn’t see that incident, so Suarez escaped a potential sending off despite Chiellini dramatically running over to the match official while showing what was claimed as a biting mark.
