Ukraine Named Fomenko as New Head Coach

Ukraine’s Football Federation have just appointed Mykhailo Fomenko as their new head coach replacing Oleg Blokhin, who failed on the latest Euro 2012.

Formenko’s long experience working in Ukraine football becomes one of the main reasons for the federation to give him the current job, as they believe that the tactician knows everything about the nation’s football.

Ukraine Football Federation deputy, Anatolyi Popov also stated that the new tactician will be given a target to get Ukraine into the World Cup 2014 finals in Brazil.

The contract duration for Formenko at the moment is only for a year, but there’s an option for another year, depending on the team’s performance.
