Tunisia Flying Home With a Win Over Panama

African side, Tunisia making their way out of Russia with a slight of smile as they ended their group game with all three points after defeating Panama.

Both teams have been confirmed to be departing the tournament following their two straight loses, but picking up a win on the final group game certainly something they were keen on experiencing.

The Concacaf side started of well as they were able to get themselves in front on 33 minutes through an own goal from Yassine Meriah, which lasted until half time break.

Trailing by a goal triggered positive reaction from Tunisia as the African outfit pushing hard in search for an equalizing goal.

Nabil Maaloul’s men relentless effort were finally rewarded as they got back into level terms on 51 minutes through Fakhreddine Ben Youssef.

That equalizing goal pumped up Eagles of Carthage’s spirit as they kept on pouring forward in search for goals which they eventually acquired on 66 minutes, this time from Wahbi Khazri.

Leading 2-1 didn’t make everything much easier for Tunisia as their opponent started to push hard in an attempt to get themselves back into the game.

Eventually, no more goals were scored by either teams as the African outfit holding on to their slender lead until the final whistle was blown.
