Experiencing a rather unpleasant summer with his transfer wish being squashed, Southampton’s defender, Virgin van Dijk apparently still keen on moving away as he assessed his option this January.
Although stating his professional attitude towards his current club, the Dutch international admitted that should an opportunity arise even this winter, he will definitely consider it.
Nevertheless, despite revealing his plan on taking a step up, Van Dijk ensured his professionalism won’t be affected as he will certainly give 100% for the Saints for the time being.
Moreover, the defender also claimed that he has acquired good experience this summer after experiencing such frustrating time, especially with his injury problems and long transfer saga.
The former Celtic star is just happy that everything has finally going well for him at the moment, both in club level and national team.
It’s certainly will be interesting to see whether Van Dijk will have another shot of moving away from his club this winter, seeing how Sotton were very determined in keeping the Dutchman last summer.
Having sign a long term extension last season, it’s not going to be easy for any team that are keen on prizing up the center back as clubs must prepare huge amount of cash.
Still, noting the player’s will, there’s certainly many suitors still keen on acquiring quality defender this winter.
