Both teams started their three games with straight victories but fell short on their fourth, with Napoli drawing against 10 men Catania, while Lazio slumped into a 1-0 defeat against Genoa in the weekend. Both teams are eager to re-start their winning run to keep track at current league leader, Juventus.
Elsewhere, Milan failed on their appeal for Massimiliano Allegri, so the head coach will be on the stands against Cagliari.
