Saints Delighted With Clean Sheet and Players’ Competition

Southampton grabbed a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the third round of League Cup on Tuesday, but it’s not only the victory the brought delights for the Saints.

Speaking to the press after the game, Saints’ assistant manager, Andy Crosby revealed that the clean sheet Southampton earned against Sheffield also means a lot for the team since it took them until six matches before finally acquiring it.

Furthermore, Crosby also happy with the performance from some of the players who haven’t been starting much in the league. Their improvement will bring much needed competition which is positive for the club.
