Suffering a heavy defeat on their World Cup 2014 opening fixture against Germany, Portugal is under a lot of pressure to keep their journey in the tournament alive and things don’t get any better with speculation regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s unfit condition.

Ronaldo who has just recovered from his injury ahead of their first game, reportedly suffered another issue just before Portugal’s second game against USA and seemingly anticipating this situation, head coach Paulo Bento stated that he won’t be relying on the Real Madrid man to beat their opponent.

Although admitting that Ronaldo’s presence is a plus for Portugal, but Bento stated that giving too much responsibility on the ex-Man United’s man shoulder is not the right thing to do.

The tactician added that none of his players should take any individual responsibilities as they must work as a team and simply give their all on the pitch without giving any reference to one or two players only.

Bento believes that only he should be carrying individual responsibility regarding the European Selecao’s achievement in this World Cup 2014.
