Peru and Denmark Hoping to Star World Cup Campaign With a Win

An interesting battle between two footballing nations from different continent set to occur on Saturday when Peru face up against Denmark at Mordovia Arena Saransk.

Returning to the World Cup finals after 36 years of absent, Los Incas players will certainly feel tons of excitement and hunger of showcasing their worth in the tournament.

That long absence simply brings out that extra level of energy for the South American outfit to put on an excellent display in Russia, starting from the weekend tie against Denmark.

Relying on their quality attacking setup, consisting of Paolo Guererro and Jefferson Farfan, Ricardo Gareca’s side hope they can really cause plenty of problems for their opponent’s defense.

Although getting all three points wont be easy, but Peru certainly will give their best shot, knowing that outside of France, there’s a pretty even quality in their group.

Meanwhile, Denmark themselves are also keen on starting their World Cup 2018 with a victory, especially since winning that first game can open up the chance in advancing into the next round.

The Danish Dynamite will be hoping that their star midfielder, Christian Eriksen can put on an excellent display as his presence is always essential for their success.

Apart from Eriksen’s magic, Age Hareide’s side might also use their height advantage to create some problems for Peru, especially from set pieces.

Probable starting line up:

Peru: Pedro Galesse(g); Luis Advincula, Alberto Rodriguez, Christian Ramos, Miguel Trauco; Renato Tapia, Yoshimar Yotun, Edison Flores, Christian Cueva; Jefferson Farfan, Paolo Guerrero.

Denmark: Kasper Schmeichel(g); Jens Stryger Larsen, Andreas Christensen, Simon Kjaer, Henrik Dalsgaard; William Kvist, Tomas Delaney, Christian Eriksen, Pione Sisto; Nicolai Jorgensen, Yurary Poulsen
