Pardew Happy With Newcastle Win in Europa League

Newcastle United advanced into the next stages of Europa League after defeating Ukraine side Metalist Kharkiv 1-0 on Thursday. That result was cherished by the Magpies manager Alan Pardew, who believes that overall his team deserved to qualify from their two leg performances.

Pardew stated that his players did well in that away fixture, especially in the first 60 minutes up until grabbing that important goal. However, Newcastle suffered some intensive pressure form the host in the last 15 minutes, but they managed to hold on well.

Meanwhile, Kharkiv head coach, Myron Markevych admitted that they were facing a very strong team and it’s difficult to maintain form for 90 minutes on that day.
