Neymar to Step Down as Brazil’s Captain After Olympic Glory

Neymar finally fulfill one of his dream, which is helping his national side, Brazil winning their first ever Olympic medal at home soil, but soon after that success he made an interesting decision by stepping down as captain.

The Barcelona star stated to media that he isn’t keen on taking that captain armband anymore for Selecao senior team and is set to communicate it with new Brazil head coach, Tite.

It’s an interesting decision, but somewhat understandable as he might feel heavily burdened of acting as captain for Brazil, notably the senior side.

Already winning the gold medal with Selecao Olympic team, which mostly composed of under 23 players, Neymar admitted that he is very proud of it, especially since his doing it in front of Brazilian people.
