Monaco Determined to Keep Mbappe Despite Major Interests
This summer transfer window got light up heavily in recent hours following reports that Real Madrid have agreed terms with AS Monaco to sign Kylian Mbappe.
However, those reports were immediately squashed by the French outfit which stated they’re intention on keeping their young attacker, while adding that there haven’t been any deal agreed with any teams, including Madrid for the Ligue 1 champions’ prize asset .
That confirmation was revealed by Monaco’s vice president, Vadim Vasilyev, who despite admitting that there have been big inquiries arriving for the French international striker, there’s no agreement whatsoever being made for any potential sale at the moment.
Vasilyev explained that for now their main agenda is working out on a new deal that can keep Mbappe at the club as they’re currently still holding talks with the 18-year-old and his family.
The vice president admitted that it won’t be easy for his team to hold down their starlet, especially with many top clubs are having their eyes of the top talent.
Nevertheless, Vasilyev doesn’t seem to have much concern regarding their new contract offer situation for Mbappe as the club still have every intention of keeping their young superstar for at least another season as the VP believes even next season interest for the young talent will remain.
