Manchester United’s chance in acquiring Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal this January got bigger with Manchester City’s unwillingness to pay the fee Gunners requested.
However, that doesn’t mean that Man United have everything under wraps as just yet, since there’s apparently an important situation that needs solving first, which is Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s future at Old Trafford.
Not getting much playing time this season, departing United looks like a real destination for the Armenian international and apparently he could be part of Sanchez’s deal with Gunners.
This situation is also stated by Mkhitaryan’s agent, Mino Raiolo, who explained to the media that whether or not Sanchez ends up at Old Trafford will depend on the former Borussia Dortmund player’s decision.
For now, Raiola claimed that his client hasn’t decide anything as just yet, since whatever Mkhitaryan decided will certainly affected his future, that’s why the attacking midfielder is taking his time in making that decision.
Man United’s willingness to part ways with Mkihtaryan is basically one of the main reason with Gunners doesn’t mind selling their star attacker to an arch rival since they will be getting a quality player along with good amount of money along the way.
It’s certainly interesting to see when or how will this transfer saga end and which club Sanchez finally plays for this remaining part of season.
