Man United Victorious at Watford, Tottenham Stumble Again

Another positive result arrived for Manchester United this midweek as Jose Mourinho’s men got themselves all three points on their away fixture against Watford.

The Red Devils were on for a tricky encounter as their opponent are often able to create problems for the top teams in Premier League.

Nevertheless, United did start off strongly though as they got themselves leading 3-0 up during the first 45 minutes with Ashley Young’s brace and Anthony Martial’s effort.

Watford were not keen on giving up easily though as they were able to pull two goals back from Troy Deeney’s spot kick and a goal by Abdoulaye Doucouré.

However, the visitor were able to seal the deal when Jesse Lingard netted his team’s fourth soon after Doucoure’s strike, ending that glimmer of hope the home temporarily had.

Meanwhile, contrasting result earned by Tottenham Hotspur as they stumble into another defeat after being beaten 2-1 by Leicester City.

After only picking up a point on their weekend league fixture, Spurs were determined in picking up a victory against The Foxes.

It turned out to be a tough task though for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad as they found themselves going one goal down after just 13 minutes through Jamie Vardy’s strike.

The home side got even more comfortable going into half time break as they added their second with an effort from Riyad Mahrez.

Spurs tried hard to get back on level terms, but they only managed to pull one goal back from Harry Kane’s goal on 79 minutes.
