Man United Held, Chelsea and Arsenal Grabbed Three Points
Manchester United 100% winning start in the new Premier League season came to an end this Saturday as they were held into a 2-2 draw by Stoke City.
Looking to regain their table topping seat in current standings, Jose Mourinho’s men put on an aggressive display in search for early goals.
However, it was Stoke that got broke the dead lock when Maxim Choupo-Moting scored on 43 minutes, giving his side a precious lead late into the first half.
That lead didn’t last long though as Man United drew level within just couple of minutes later, thanks to Marcus Rashford’s effort.
In the second half, it looked like United have finally turned things around a Romelu Lukaku made in 2-1 for Mourinho’s side.
Unfortunately, the visitor’s joy also didn’t last until the end as Stoke’s resilience paid off when Choupo-Moting netted his second in that game to force a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, defending champions, Chelsea continuing their recent winning run as Antonio Conte’s boys defeated Leicester City 2-1 with Alvaro Morata getting his name on the score sheet again, this time he was accompanied by N’Golo Kante.
Jamie Vardy got Leicester’s only goal in that match as he converted a spot kick midway into the second half, which unfortunately not enough to spark a come back for his side.
Arsenal’s misery last match day when they got hammered by Liverpool was somewhat forgotten this weekend as they defeated Bournemouth 3-0.
Danny Welbeck was the star of that tie as he bagged two goals, while the other one was netted by Gunners’ summer signing, Alexander Lacazette.
